Q. What are the monkeys made out of?

A. One pair of brand new socks, polyester toy filling and cheekiness

 

Q. Socks? Really? One pair of socks?

A. Yes, almost all of the sock is used to make the monkey. In the old days monkeys were made of worn socks, at Monkey and Me we use brand new socks. Promise, the socks have never been near feet. 

 

Q. How tall is a sock monkey?

A. They're taller than they look. approx 38cm. Some socks make tall slender monkeys, other monkeys are rounder in the middle. 

 

Q. How much to post a sock monkey?

A. Monkey and Me has a special, adopt two monkeys and pay the postage for one. Other than that special, Monkey and Me charges what Australia Post does.

You can add sock monkeys to or subtract sock monkeys from the shopping cart and hit "recalculate" after each time to see how much postage will cost. 

 

 

Q. What if I don't live in Australia?

A. Can we come and visit? For more information, please refer to www.austpost.com.au and select "Parcels International" (left hand side of page) A sock monkey weighs approx 200gm

Monkey and Me sock monkeys happily travel overseas, orders need to be placed through the "Contact Us" tab. Please let us know which monkey and delivery option you would like. We will then reply with more instructions. Payment is through paypal. 

 

Q. How long will it take a sock monkey to get to me?

A. It all depends where you live! Standard parcel post is by truck and the Monkey and Me orphanage is in Perth, Australia. Imagine how long it will take a sock monkey to drive from Perth to your place with over night stops along the way. 

 

Q. Do you customise sock monkeys?

A. No because it takes so much more time and we love to use every minute to create as many sock monkeys as possible. We do take suggestions for colours and we will happily look for socks that may satisfy what you're after.

 

Q. I've found a pair of socks, will you make a sock monkey out of them?

A. We have many sock spotters and love hearing about where you have found cool socks. The problem is, not all socks make good looking sock monkeys. We have a large sock graveyard at Monkey and Me. We prefer a customer to see the finished sock monkey before they adopt him or her. We just don't want you to be disappointed. Contact us about what you've found and we'll take it from there.
